Research using Machine Learning algorithms to predict borrower creditworthiness and reduce defaults for micro finance institutions in trinidad and tobago

Doing research on Machine learning algorithms for the financial industry. This research will help me to answer some questions like What is a machine learning algorithm (MLA)? How does it work? When should we use an MLA and when not to use it? and why use MLA? I would like to find out how effective MLA is for predicting borrower creditworthiness? If there are many MLAs, compare which is the best and most efficient for reducing defaults. Compare the use of no MLA to MLA used and which is more profitable. Look at the microfinance industry related to default rates in Trinidad and Tobago. See how MLA can be applied to this industry to decrease default rates. To do this, I will have to do an interview or questionnaire.

Interview with the Ministry of Health a disaster or a teachable moment

On, November 2nd Wednesday 10am I had an interview meeting with  Latishar Ramchan (Secretary) and  Dr. Roshan Parasram of the Ministry of Health. This meeting was to get some answers for my thesis which is to find out if the Ministry has any digital resources for NCDs? My proposal was to implement a digital dashboard for NCDs for the public from a credible source. As before information from sources that are not credible can damage a community for example gossip and misinformation spread for covid-19.  In summary, the meeting was a disaster for me as I did not get the information I set forth to get, and I felt I was unprepared. I may have had to do some research before entering this meeting in terms of the background and get some answers to my questions from research, so I could have entered into this meeting with it more fruitful. So, in the future, I know how to better prepare for meeting events like these.
